Professional Activity

Tanima Rahman Tanni is Assistant Professor in the Department of Yarn Engineering under the Faculty of Textile Engineering. Prior to joining Bangladesh University of Textiles, she worked as a Quality Control Officer at Maksons Spinning Mills Ltd. She also came across an experience of internship in Square Textiles Ltd. during her Bachelor.

Education
Tanima Rahman Tanni has completed her B.Sc in Textile Engineering (specialized in Yarn Manufacturing) from Bangladesh University of Textiles with CGPA-3.95 out of 4.00 securing 1st class 1st position. Currently, she is enrolled in M.Sc in Textile Engineering (Yarn Engineering) at the same University. She has completed both her HSC (2012) and SSC (2010) with board scholarship and GPA-5 in all subjects from SOS Hermann Gmeiner College, Dhaka and Monipur High School, Dhaka respectively. Her academic excellence in Bachelor has been recognized by Prime Minister Gold Medal Award – 2018.

Fields of Interest:

Her research interests are in the areas of fiber science, polymer/fiber/textile processing, spinning systems, special yarns, revitalization of jute sector, textile comfort, medical textiles, forensic textile science, phase change material, ultraviolet protection factor etc.
