Biography

Dr. Md. Reajul Islam is working in the department of Yarn Engineering as an associate professor. In addition he is in charge of Hall Provost of G.M.A.G Osmani Hall and Assistant Proctor of Bangladesh University of Textiles. He was a member of academic council of Bangladesh University of Textiles. Prior to joining BUTEX he has served Matin Spinning Mills Ltd (A sister Concern of DBL Group) as an Executive and Daffodil International University as a lecturer. His academic focus is mainly on long and short staple spinning process. Mr. Islam is the first Bangladeshi Student who achieved the Rieter award in 2012. He attended professional training on-
• Training of Trainers (TOT) programme on “Spinning, Weaving & Knitting” (From 23.08.09 to 27.08.09) conducted by UNIDO experts from Niederrhein University of Germany.
• UNIDO-BSTI Training Programme on the requirements of the “WRAP standard and their implementation” held at the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) on 15 October 2008.
• Training Course on Research Design, Data Management and Data Analysis using Excel, SPSS and Stata held from February 8, 2016 to March 11,2016 Organized by Bureau of Economic Research, University of Dhaka
