Professional Activity

Md. Reasat Aktar Arin is an Assistant Professor in Fabric Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX). He joined BUTEX as a lecturer in 2021. Prior to his position at BUTEX, he worked at the British retailer company Marks & Spencer as an associate product developer for denim and at Sister Denim Composite Ltd., an export-oriented factory, as a shift engineer in the research and development department. Having worked in a variety of textile disciplines for over three years, he came back to academia to apply his industrial knowledge to shape the next generation. Arin’s present research interests and publications comprise healthcare & protective textiles, smart textiles, composites, 3D-woven & knitted fabrics, cost effective industrial processes & product development, and nonwoven.  

Education
Md. Reasat Aktar Arin received the B.Sc. in Textile Engineering (Fabric Manufacturing) degree from BUTEX in 2018. He completed his HSC from the Dhaka board at Bir Shrestha Munshi Abdur Rouf Rifles College, Pilkhana, Dhaka, and his SSC from the Jessore board at Alamdanga Pilot High School, Alamdanga, Chuadanga.
