Biography
Dr. Md. Syduzzaman has completed his Ph.D. at Erciyes University, Turkey, under the prestigious CoHE (Council of Higher Education) Ph.D. Fellowship. The CoHE Ph.D. fellowship is specially designed for faculty members and offered as a part of the program aimed at enhancing cooperation in the field of higher education between the Republic of Turkey and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. He has completed his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Textile Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Textiles with a specialization in Textile Engineering Management.
He is considered a hybrid between technical excellence and business skills. He has an acute interest to be in touch with the advancement of science & technology. He tries to keep himself updated with the latest technology, especially in the textile material science & engineering arena. He is enthusiastic about creating new and/or diversifying the existing textile market through developing value-added textile-based materials. Biodegradability and sustainable issues are also his priority research focus.
Before joining at BUTEX in 2014, Dr. Syduzzaman worked in different textile and garment factories. He started his career as a Production Executive (Apparel) at Denimach Ltd., which is one of the best denim garment manufacturing and washing industries in Bangladesh. After gathering sufficient technical knowledge on denim garments production and washing, his leading character inspired him to lead the RMG sector. He then changed the track and joined Merchandising at Renaissance Group, one of the most successful knit garments exporters in Bangladesh, where he really proved to be dynamic and initiative-taking.
