Biography

Maeen Md. Khairul Akter started his professional career in a textile company, Envoy Textiles Ltd. as an Executive Engineer. Due to his passion for research and education he altered his career path and started working as an academician. Prior to joining this department on 01 April 2018, he was working as a Lecturer at National Institution of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER). He has more than 6 years’ experience working in the textile and apparel industry in the capacity of an engineer, trainer, academician and researcher.

He is a certified trainer and assessor for TVET and works as a freelance assessor in the SEIP project of the government. He is specially trained on pedagogy from Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Singapore.

He is also a technical writer having experience writing technical articles for different magazines and online platforms. He has experience working as a content developer in Bangladesh Textile Today and a UK based online marketplace for a long time. Now he is serving as the Managing Editor of an international textile based business magazine, Textile Focus.

Maeen is a team player and his career objective is to contribute significantly in the development of the industrial sector through appropriate education, research, training, awareness building and management.
